It belongs to titanium (Ti) stabilized austenitic stainless steel, with a titanium content typically more than 5 times the carbon content.
Performance
Its corrosion resistance at room temperature is comparable to that of 304, but it exhibits extremely high creep resistance and oxidation resistance in the high-temperature range of 450°C to 900°C.
Application
Resistance to intergranular corrosion: Titanium preferentially combines with carbon to form titanium carbide, which prevents the precipitation of chromium carbide at the grain boundaries, thus effectively addressing the issue of sensitization cracking after high-temperature welding.
High-temperature heat treatment-free: It is particularly suitable for large equipment, boiler pipelines, automotive exhaust systems, and other applications that require on-site welding and cannot undergo post-weld solution treatment.
